Ethics and barrier-free hospitality

In 2024 we started a journey towards accessibility thanks to the project with Village for all – V4A®, and we truly care about all this!
We put people, their needs and requirements at the centre, relying on sector professionals for ongoing improvements.

An accessible holiday means being able to choose freely, without having to explain, adapt or give up.
Ours is a continuous journey made of constant improvements. Here are some examples:

- reception with accessible seating and tables to remove barriers, even the invisible ones

- accessible website to ensure autonomy and understanding for all users

- accessible accommodations and accessible units with whirlpool tub and hoist for ease and safety

- Braille menu at our snack bar Pepe & Zucchero

- dedicated menus and gluten-free corner

- respect for all cultures and religions with clear, easy-to-read icons also in the menu

 - inclusive playground with equipment suitable for all abilities

- induction devices at reception and bar for the hearing impaired to amplify sound

- inclusive signage with QR code panels providing additional information simply by bringing a smartphone close

- accessible spaces for people with mobility impairments and absence of architectural barriers in almost the entire facility

- round tables to facilitate inclusion and lip-reading

- toilets with cord running along the perimeter

All these initiatives show how accessible hospitality, if designed with intelligence and sensitivity, can improve everyone’s tourism experience, not only that of people with disabilities.
Making tourism truly “for all” means, ultimately, recognising each person’s right to experience the beauty of travel without obstacles, with full freedom of choice and the certainty of being welcomed, heard and respected.
